„Algesiologikum“ goes public

Over the last month i’ve been working on the visual concept of a company start-up. Algesiologikum is an integrated managment unit running pain therapy centre in collaboration with hospitals. Therefore, we developed in an intense discourse, a concept that mirrors their goals strategy: The corporate identity bases on the bio-psychological-social modell of pain, that I already mentioned in my thesis section.

Furthermore, we designed office equipment, presentation material and a website for „Algesiologikum“ as a company and their education and science departement. „Algesiologikum Akademie“, so far. During the next months we’re going to complete the range with a corporate design manual and more.

Archipov, Manifesta 7, BBQs

In Summer 2008 i took part in a Workshop at unibz lead by Vladimir Archipov, a russian collector of „design del popolo“, improvised functional pieces of everyday design. For the exhibition at Manifesta 7 parallelevents, we rebuild some of these objects and created new ones.

Well, i decided to put together a BBQ that fits on the shutter frame of our window. Finally we could follow our bavarian BBQ habits again!

lasercutting type

I thought about solutions for lasercutting type without loosing the inner bits or using often rather clumsy looking stencil typefaces. I used this experiment as cover of my new CV. I stretched the F slightly as well to keep it in balance with the O.

typoase sans finished

The Typoase typeface is finally finished now. It consists of Typoase bold for the base and Typoase regular for the top.

helvetica floralis

Recently i’ve been working a bit on a floral experiment  good old helvetica light i did 2 years ago for a competition of RONER liquor.

My entry won the 3rd place at that time. I reworked it a bit for the cover of my portfolio and for a new header of our blog at FREEUNIBZ.

TYPOASE

I decided to post some older works to get this blog started. Here’s the „making of“ video of a project i was able to realise last september. TYPOASE is an installation of benches, with sod lawn on top, that form the word “time”. It is designed to be a green space in the grey desert of the city, which offers you the possibility to take your time. Lately it was mentioned on designboom, slanted and others webites.
